Here are a few tips for doing a search on the Internet.

When you enter the words you're looking for:

Add a + sign directly before any word that MUST appear in the pages you're looking for.
Add a - sign directly before any word that you don't want to appear in the pages you're looking for.
If you're looking for a specific phrase or a name that has more than one word, "enclose that phrase in quotes."

Got it? Ok, check out the examples below. (By the way, they're only examples. None of the buttons below actually work!)



This would find pages that
contained both the words "ferret" and "ulcers."

 


 

This would find pages that
contained the word "ferret" in them but that might or might not contain the word "ulcers."

 


 

This would find pages that
contained the word "ferret" OR contained the word "ulcers"
but the pages returned might only have one of those words.
-So you'd get non-ferret ulcer pages and non-ulcer ferret pages as well.

 


 

This would find pages that
contained the word "ferret" but would eliminate all pages that contain the word "ulcers."

 


 

This would only find pages that
contained the exact phrase "ferret ulcers" in them.
If the two words appeared separately on the same page, those pages would not be returned.
