The Bottom Door

(Method B)

What's The Difference Between These And The Other Instructions?

The only difference between these and the other instructions are the first few steps which involve cutting your new doors. If you have the older model, you can save yourself the cost of one door and 3 latches, and you'll only need to cut one new door hole on the front instead of two new holes. There's some prying off and reapplying of hinges involved in this version but it's not too bad. It's up to you. You can still do it the first way if you'd like, or just keep reading and follow the directions below.

Swap Top Front and Back Rear Panels

Pry the hinges off the front upper panel (the one with the small door), and the back bottom panel. Then swap these panels. Re-hinge the small door panel to the back bottom of the cage. You can re-use the same hinges or use the C-rings from Skip Martin. Now you'll have a bottom floor with a large door on the front and a small door on the back. (I'm not ever planning to use that back door. This is just to get it out of the way!) Hook the former back panel into place on the top section of the front but don't re-hinge it yet.
